Discussion and Opinion:-
- Every movie lover has a list of some of the best movies in their life. Likewise, I also have a list of some of my favorite movies. "Apocalypto" is at the top of that list. Not just for me', a movie loved by many. Director Gibson Babu has taken forward the story of Mayans in an incredibly beautiful way. There really isn't another perfect historical movie like this.
The cinematography of the movie was amazing! It means sticking to the eyes. And the actions are unstable. For example: the scene of giving 'Norbali', cutting the stomach and baring the liver! It seems like a real scene. The makeup and costume design of the movie has to be appreciated a little differently. Maya has revealed the reality of civilization. Besides, the language of the movie is Mayan. But there was dialogue. There is no problem if you watch with sub.
The more I say about the movie, the less it becomes. For those who haven't seen it yet, download it and read it. And lose yourself in the world of thousands of years ago.
2. Cast away (2000)
Directed by Robert zemeckis
Cast: Tom hanks, Helen hunt
Genre: Adventure, Drama, Romance
Many of you may have seen the movie a long time ago. It is absurd to think that no one has seen such a high-quality movie that was released 22 years ago. Still writing, thinking of those who haven't seen it yet.
The word castaway means castaway. The story can be guessed from the name. To tell the story, a traumatized man - Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks), is stranded on an uninhabitable island in the Pacific after a plane crash. He is an engineer by profession. Worked in a courier service named Federal Express. That wheel is stuck on an island surrounded by the sea. What happened at the end? Chuck Noland could come back? Or stuck on the island once he went crazy with loneliness? How will a man be if everything he owns is taken away from him? What will he have?
Watch the movie. Hope you like it.
Not to mention Tom Hanks. He gained weight for the movie. Reduced on time. He has had a beard for a year. He captures every trace of a man stuck on an island for four years while filming.
This is perhaps director Robert Zemeckis' best film. Or he has better movies in his portfolio. don't know I can only say that, only for this movie, he will live in the hearts of movie lovers for a long time.
It would be unfair not to mention the background music of the movie. Even the sound of the continuous current of the sea can be muted only by the music director.
I will end with a wonderful dialogue of the movie. This one minute dialogue changed my perspective a lot. Life is bliss - this blue whale generation should watch this movie even if they understand that.
3. The Martian (2015)
Adventure, Drama, Sci-Fi
Director: Ridley Scott
IMDb : 8.0
Cast: Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Chiwetel Ejiofor etc.
Plot Overview:
Year 2035, NASA's third manned mission to Mars, Ares-3, has been on Mars for the past six days. Due to a sudden dust storm, they abort the mission and leave Mars, but at the same time, crew member Watney is seen lost in the dust storm after being hit by the antenna, who is pronounced dead. Watney regains consciousness the next day, and realizes that if he doesn't do something, Mars will be his graveyard.
Review:
Honestly, every time I've seen this kind of plot used before, every time the movie has either become boring or overly predictable.
But this movie, based on Andy Weir's 2011 novel of the same name, was different. Once you start watching the movie, you can't stop. Every step of watching the movie will seem predictable, this is how the movie will end, this is how I understood everything. But when you watch a little more with this lure, the movie will prove you wrong and take you further in, the deeper you go, the better it will be. Director Ridley Scott has carved the emotions so beautifully that you can feel them too. The acting of Matt Demon and other artists was flawless. And the extraordinary portreal of Mars and the thrill of space survival is still there. You rarely see such an energetically constrained flow of one-way plots these days.
4. 127 Hours (2010)
Director: Danny Boyle
Genre : Drama/Survival
IMDb rating : 7.5/10
After watching the movie you will just stop, you will feel silence around you. You just start thinking about your life.
If you like adventure, nature lovers or survival movies then this movie is for you.
Movie Story Summary:
American Adventurer Aaron Railstone is an engineer by nature, but his passion is mountain hiking. When he gets a day off from work, he goes out for hiking. On such a holiday, the three went hiking in a remote canyon in the uninhabited state of Utah. There he was met by two girls who had lost their way. Aaron steps up to help them and gets to know them. At one point he took them on a shortcut through a mountain gorge and on the way took many leaps into a waterhole, enjoying the time and leading them off.
Then came his misfortune. In an accident, he fell into a ravine and got his hand stuck on a rock. With all his might he could not pry his hand from that rock. Around 70 km. There is only empty space all over the place, no human houses, only 15 minutes of sunlight in the whole day inside that ditch.
Only two ways were open before him - to give up and die or to cut his own hands and try to come out. From then on, his fight for survival began. You have to watch the whole movie to know how that huge suffocating time of 127 hours suffered a man, how a man endured hunger, pain, agony and finally how Aaron came back alive after 6 days of desperate efforts.
You will be surprised to know that the movie is based on a true story. You will be more surprised to know that the American Aaron Railstone is still alive and still hiking.
Aaron Railstone is played by Hollywood face James Franco.
The movie has music composed by popular Indian music composer AR Rahman and directed by Slumdog Millionaire fame director Danny Boyle.
5. Life of Pi (2012)
